WISE Charitable Trust - Whanganui

Every Kiwi family should be able to live in a warm, dry, healthy home, and the experienced and hardworking team of WISE Charitable Trust is helping make this a reality for more families in our communities.

We’ve been a proud supporter of the Waitara Initiatives Supporting Employment (WISE), a charitable trust that delivers healthy homes initiatives across the wider Taranaki community to reduce the effects of energy hardship.

WISE have extended their programme to Whanganui region, and we’ve joined in helping them deliver the (HHI) Healthy Homes Initiative around the Whanganui area.

The Healthy Homes Initiative aims to assist sick Children/Tamariki with underlying health issues and help empower their whanau living in energy hardship. WISE work to improve the health of the home that these families are living in and assist them to live in warm, dry, healthier and more energy efficient homes.

As part of this partnership, we’re providing Mould Kits and Education Resources that the WISE HHI Team will give to Whanganui whānau during their in-home visits.

Families who have benefited from this initiative say they’ve had warmer homes, less family illness, improved well-being and reduced power bills.
