Surfing for Farmers 2021-22 Season

We're stoked to be part of Surfing for Farmers - a rural support initiative that's been growing around Aotearoa since 2018. We're a 'local legends' sponsor at a number of their programmes around the North Island. As well as helping with the beers and the snags, we help fund the equipment and provide some swag.

While some were local, many travelled great distances e.g. Matamata and Morrinsville.  This really demonstrates the magnitude of the initiative and how Surfing for Farmers is really making a positive impact on the Health and Well Being of our Farmers and Growers. "Powerco’s sponsorship has enabled Surfing for Farmers to purchase surfboards and wetsuits for some of the more remote regions like the Wairarapa.  Thanks to the sponsorship our local branch now has everything we need to provide a free lesson for our farmers.  The sponsorship also helps with the weekly running of the events and keeps our farmers well fed after a surf!"
